Primed and ready for de-purpling

The end of the purple

Posted on January 27, 2016February 10, 2025 By stega

As written about earlier (here and here), the spare bedroom was an atrocious purple with lots of unsealed nail holes, screws embedded in the walls and extra phone jacks we don’t need. If the room was not going to become a spare guest room/reading space/etc. and the purple had been a prettier hue, we might have kept the color, but since none of that applies, I have learned how to paint textured interior walls.

Here’s the work in progress. First we have a spackled wall; next, the edges have been primed, and then a full coat of primer up on the same area.

I’m now finally ready to actually paint the room a less awful color.
