It only took us FIVE fucking years dealing with a county that, for most of that time, continually claimed their delays were because they are not adequately staffed and that we just had to be buttercups and suck it up, even when they ghosted us.
But the permit has finally been issued!
For the next five minutes we will ignore the fact that if the martinets over at Santa Clara County Department of Planning were competent and not acting as a revenue-generating arm of their department, we would never have been put through the last four years worth of hell.
We will also ignore the fact that their delays over the last FIVE months mean another four to five months of waiting to fully resolve the issue, because I cannot grade dirt in the rainy season. And don’t even try to make sense of the smoke detector/carbon monoxide crap in the email. I’m too busy doing a happy dance that we have finally…finally…FINALLY gotten to this point.
