Eyesore stable interior

The end of the little stable

Posted on October 13, 2015February 1, 2025 By stega

Another of the eyesores on the property was a small three-sided stable built on the south side of the property. It too dates back to the original owners and while the roof was in good shape, the same could not be said for the rest of the structure.

Two weeks ago, while I was laid up in bed with the nasty plague, Agent Smith and his dad dismantled it. They managed to get it all the way down to the quasi-foundation in one day. They sorted the debris and made some piles, some of which will go towards fixing the yard fence (more on that in another post), and the un-useful debris will go in the dumpster that arrived today.

The next day, it was time to build a fence. Now, looking up the hillside, you no longer see a derelict building. Of course the big stable, which we will keep, will soon need attention.
