Just like the walls and chimney in the great room, the foyer needed something on the walls on either side of the front doors. I found some round shelves on Overstock.com and ordered two. When they arrived the black metal just wouldn’t do, so I bought some Krylon spray paint and made them match the large circular shelf in the great room, and then I painted the wooden shelves to match the metallic walls in that space. The results are pretty and bring a couple more circles into that space to play on that motif.
I do love fast projects like this that just work. Oh, and the pictures in those frames on the new shelves? I took those.
