When we had the linen hallway painted, all the cabinet and drawer pulls had to be removed, and when our painters took things apart they discovered that several of the pulls were in bad shape. Two had broken screws and a third’s insert was completely broken. If you look closely at the first image you can spot the missing pulls on two of the drawers.
I looked online, but considering these pulls are original from when the house was built, finding replacements is pretty much impossible. Since we didn’t want to invest in 21 new pulls, Agent Smith got to work.
The first two were easy to fix as they just needed new screws. The third however required some extensive rebuild work and it took about an hour to get all three sorted and reinstalled on the drawers.
Last is a shot of the finished result. It’s also a a more true representation of the color of the cabinets and drawer faces than in previous pics.
