The lovely vintage couch I picked up at auction for the Great Room was a bit plain, but I had some leftover fabric I had originally intended to use for curtains in the dining area. Some of said fabric was used to reupholster the chair in the boys’ space, but I still had quite a bit left. I decided to use some to make cushions to dress up the couch a bit.
Using a couple of old bed pillows, I hand-stitched them into circular forms. I then cut four panels from the bird fabric and, using some fringe I found in a craft store bargain bin long ago and a couple of zippers, I crafted some lovely round pillows.
Then, using some of the packing material included in past HomeChef.com boxes and some spare white muslin, I made some log pillows.
Then, it was a simple matter of sticking up some decorative enclosures (with zippers) and squishing the logs into them. The end result is quite lovely.
