Small projects often occupy my time. Oftentimes it’s a case of ‘make it and forget it,’ but I do usually take pictures.
Like this cute little Mario-based keychain I made for a Reddit gift exchange.
Other gift exchange projects turned an old cribbage board into something a bit prettier, a glass yogurt cup into a Robert Pattison votive candle holder, and a wee metal box into something a bit prettier.
Then there are the masks I make. Using feathers the boys drop, I craft these for various nonprofits that raffle them off to raise funds.
When it’s cold out, I like to plop down on the couch in my office and crochet. I’m oh-so-slowly working through the drawers of yarn I have squirreled away. Lately I have been making scarves, which I give to various nonprofits to help raise funds.
Occasionally I do make things for myself–even just a simple cover for my rolling toolbox-turned-sewing basket, to which Agent Smith bolted some spare storage bins for even more organizational zen. Best of all, the cover matches the curtain I crafted for my office.
