A full month passed after the shed was painted before we got to the last big bit of work so that it would be ready for use; the rains finally came, as did the holidays. We were busy with small stuff and unexpected projects like the water main breaking, putting a derelict car in a dumpster, and doing a bit of relaxing.
We don’t generally do much during the winter holidays. Agent Smith has a couple of weeks off from work and we generally hunker down and work on various projects. We did the same when we lived in San Francisco, so it’s not because we live halfway up a mountain. It’s just our winter style.
Lots of mugs of tea and coffee are drunk. Many puddles of water appear. The holiday decorations are put out in the great room. The gardens get very green. You get the idea.
