Shortly after the floors were done and the boys had been moved back into their pace, I also retouched the trees I painted on the walls a couple of years ago when I took the space from barf-brown to sunny yellow.
I used the sponge technique I sort of perfected when I created the oak tree in the guest room. Layering several different colors onto the sponge instead of just a single shade produces a more interesting affect.
Here are before and after shots of each tree.
Plus I found a small hanging set of shelves that look remarkably like a wee wooden swing. This allows me to get all the various treats up off the table in their space. Added bonus: I painted some leaves on the table top.
I’m pretty happy with the revamp and so far the boys have yet to complain.
