As of today, we’re two-thirds of the way through putting in a new 4′ high no-climb fence with an electrical stringer to put a stop to the horses jumping over on to our land. They belong to our neighbor to the east and regularly get across the fence we put up in 2017. Back then the old owners of that parcel just had cows grazing the land. Plus the humans that now own that parcel push the fence down and climb over it when they come get their horses who come onto our land because they often go hungry, and we have lots of grass. We like birds and nature, after all.
Anyway, a couple of trips to the tractor supply store and a crew of side-workers have gotten us this far, but now we have to deal with all the garbage the neighbors have piled up against the fence. Not only are they unresponsive to text communications of late, but when I did go over to talk in person…well, just watch the video and you will see.
I left a bunch of interesting details out of the video–like their propensity of slaughtering their sheep and goats by simply suspending them upside down while alive and slitting their throats (and then posting the videos to FB), the chronic noise issues, the trash they and their visitors toss down along the road past our south pasture, etc.
Next weekend we will handle the cleanup with our bulldozer. It will prove interesting I am sure.
