One fun things about Purgatory is that we have a lot of wild birds. And I mean a lot. So far I have seen the following:
- Turkey Vultures
- Ravens and Crows
- Scrub Jays
- Rufous Humming Birds
- California Thrashers
- European Starlings (evil birds!)
- Robin
- Nuthatches
- Acorn Woodpeckers
- Phoebes
- Gold finches
- Red-winged blackbirds
- Red-tailed hawks
- Quail (herds and herds)
- Dark-eyed Juncos
- Mocking Birds,
- Magpies
- Barn Swallows
- Canyon Towhees
- Oak Titmice
Plus an assortment of other animals ranging from coyotes and hares to ground squirrels and the occasional feral cat. Not to mention the Barn and Screech Owls
A while back I started a new Purgatory-related project one of my other website, so if you want a dose of nature every couple of days check it out.
