Following on from the previous post: just a few months after I found something for the empty wall downstairs in the great room for next to nothing, I found something that would really suit the space and our eclectic style.
But first a mini-story. Back when I first started buying stuff from auction houses I found a gorgeous steel wall sculpture. It went for more than I was willing to pay and I kicked myself for not going a bit above my limit as I might have gotten it for just a wee bit more.
Hanging it turned out to be not nearly as difficult as we first anticipated and now the only caveat is that if you sit on the couch you do want to watch where you lean your head as that bottom wing is quite jagged.
And for those interested, the artist is a metal sculpture named John Richen.
