Agent Smith has been working slowly on making the space inside the garage more useful. Since the garage is used regularly for building race cars and fixing various things, this means the revamp happens in spurts. A while back, for instance, we bought some large metal shelves that hold a great deal of stuff (mainly race car bits). Over the last few months we’ve slowly worked to make better use of the new storage space.
A few weeks ago, he set about making better use of the back wall which is currently taken up with cabinets. After removing the awful closet doors and laminate covering the wood framing, Agent Smith discovered that the structure is actually well put-together, so he mounted some lights on the ceiling and now has a small and brightly lit work area. This is very useful for doing any fiddly work, as the general lighting in the garage is rather poor after dark.
