Once the basics were done and the new mezzanine was in place, a few extra touches were needed–namely some sort of railing needed to be installed around the perimeter to keep stuff and the occasional human from falling off. For that, Agent Smith crafted a railing system complete with a wee man-gate, as when not in use for another project, our little man-lift acts as an elevator.
He also picked up some used pallet racks, which were fitted up against the south wall of the garage. They provide storage both below and above and extend the usable space a bit.
As you can see in the last pic in the gallery above, the extra bit of space created by having the pallet racks extend almost the entire height of the garage means a bit more storage. A bit more customization has been ongoing–power outlets attached to the mezzanine pillars and extension cords on reels and other bits and bobs make use of the structure.
