A while back, I found some wooden bird figures on clearance at a craft store. They were fairly boring as just bare wood, so I painted them. Now they look like Banded Stilts, which are native to Australia. They sit in the foyer on one of the tables.
I also found a wee plaster songbird in a very drab brown, so it painted it as well. This one now resembles a Western Bluebird. It now resides on the bookshelves in the north hall.
