In 2015 work began on BDR4. It was going to be the replacement for the long-serving Whale. After much work, a BMW E36 engine was fitted under its hood and the car was decked out to resemble a San Francisco Muni Bus.
Here’s a never-before-seen video of it being test driven out behind the garage in early April 2016.
Sadly, the Bus met an untimely demise at Sonoma in early 2018. You can see pics of the crash here on instagram.
This was the end result. Thankfully both driver and engine were unharmed, so the team started work on BDR6.
